DINING OUT-THE NEIGHBOURHOOD SUPPER VENUES

There are 4 restaurants nearby Cherry Tree Cottage Bed and Breakfast accommodation in Linden if you want to eat out. viz- Satori, Bikaner, Piccolo and la Bouffe.

Parkhurst and Greenside and Emmerentia, Melville and Rosebank,-the "Gourmet Mile of Jhb" and the Cresta Mall and Brightwater

Common are all close by. There is a Spar on the far corner of our block and a Woolworths and Pick and Pay a few blocks further away.

A la Bouffe

32 Seventh Street

The term A la Bouffe simply is French slang for “Come and Eat” in i.e. French home cooking as eaten by the majority French people, mainly in the rural areas. The idea is to bring this fantastic food concept to Linden and Johannesburg prepared by a well-acclaimed French Chef, Romuald Denesle. The whole concept of A la Bouffe is based on Romuald’s extensive food and chef training of more than 20 years in France and being a Head Chef in many establishments in Europe.

Bikaner

Corner 4th Avenue & 7th Street

While it doesn't look very appealing, Bikaner is a fantastic little spot!
The beers were cheap for a start and the food not badly priced in our opinion!  The wait staff were very friendly and relaxed - It really is a place where you can hang out and just chill, especially if you sit outside on the street, with a bit of the city passing by you!

Satori Pizzeria

61 4th Avenue

It’s not surprising that Satori has won several awards for Best Neighbourhood Restaurant, and owner Lloyd Newton and his team of dedicated friendly staff are continually striving to ensure that Satori lives up to its fine reputation. With its relaxed and unpretentious ambience, here you can enjoy a board game or two, whilst enjoying good wholesome food and drink. Prices are modest so Satori has built up a big following of loyal patrons who come from as far away as Fourways and the east and west rand.

Picola

Pizza & Pasta

46 4th Ave

Cosy, great food great service. Kiddies little inside corner helped a lot. Food comes in a big portion so we shared a delicious pasta and a moth watering pizza. Picola is a lovely family restaurant
